DESIGNER: SAM BARON

Sam Baron is an award-winning product- and interior designer and creative director whose work merges art and design, benefitting from his enthusiasm for design thinking. In his inquisitive approach to problem solving, the Lisbon-based French designer uncovers fresh perspectives while rooting in research, culture, and craft. Collaborative creativity is part of his design DNA, prominent in his life since his time at Fabrica, Benetton’s world-renowned creative research centre in Italy, where he was first a mentee fresh out of university, then served as director for over a decade leading teams of young designers and collaborating with international brands, museums, and galleries.  
 
His work has been exhibited in museums including the New Museum and the Cooper-Hewitt Museum in New York, the Pompidou Center in Paris, and the Triennale di Milano. He has been recognised with prestigious awards including the Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres, and the Grand Prix de la Création de la Ville de Paris in the “Designer Confirmé ” category.
